(6 customer reviews)

The Lancer L5 Advanced Warfighter Magazine was CMMG’s choice for the perfect .458 SOCOM mag. CMMG modified the feed lips of the magazine without machining or weakening them, so that they accept nearly every type of 458 SOCOM ammo. Laser Engraved with 458 SOCOM.
NOTE:  The magazine has been modified to function properly with 10rds of .458 SOCOM, but will physically hold 11rds if forced.  As such we will not ship these magazines to any state where magazine capacity is restricted to 10 rounds or less.

this magazine is not designed the same as the one that came with the gun, so the loading tool will not work on your magazine, I have to load them by hand, a very hard thing to do.

Feed my .458 SOCOM upper perfectly.

I purchased this upper knowing that for the price, I was likely to have a couple of minor hangups. The chambers are a little rough, which isn’t too big a deal IF the mags are working perfectly. They gave me a free 10 rd mag earmarked for .50 BW, and with a (slightly) different case diameter, the drag combined with the rough chamber caused the bolt to not travel rearward enough to extract the empty case if there were more than 3 rds in the magazine. This problem worked itself out after a short bit, but since ammo is so expensive, I highly recommend picking up a .458 diameter fine chamber hone and running it through prior to firing the first rounds. This should likely resolve that issue, and everything else about the upper is very well done, certainly worth the cost savings. Was able to hold a very tight 50 yd group despite the issues (2.5″ using a Razor AMD holosite-no magnification).

I still had to buy the Tromix single stack follower for my 458 SOCOM to feed correctly.
