Perfect fit, lightweight and has a pretty good feel when I turn the adjustment screw. Each setting has a distinctive notch so I know what setting I’m on. Definitely recommend.

I mounted the GB to an 11.5 DD barrel. No issues noted during install. Gas tube and pin went in without a hitch.g I went ahead and tapped the barrel a little so the set screws had a nice place to secure into. As I was tapping the barrel with my handheld drill, the gas block held up fine to the occasional bump with the drill bit. The GB secured easy enough. I adjusted the gas block IAW the directions. I screwed it all the way in, and backed out 7 clicks. They say 6-8 so I split the diff. Took the upper out to the range and test fired it. It cycles perfectly unsuppressed. I’ll try and remember to come back and post another review after i get my can and we see what she does suppressed. I put the allen wrench in my pistol grip storage compartment (Hogue grips) So I have it whenever I need it. Overall the GB looks like a quality machined part. It does look like a high quality part. Oh I used a melonited gas tube from Ballistic Advantage. Something you may want to think about. Get a little more mileage out of your tube.

It’s been one week shy of a year since my initial review of the SLR Sentry 7. Yes it took that long plus to get my can. (574 days, thank you BATFE). Anyway, I did not make any changes to my system. My stamp on my lower came in while waiting on the can and so I married that up to the 11.5 Daniel Defense barreled upper. When the can came in I removed the AFAB comp (amazing comp by the way) and mounted an AAC Brakeout 2.0. This is because my can is an AAC 762 SDN-6 .30 cal can. Anyway, that was the only adjustment I made, and the weapon runs flawlessly w or w/out the can. 55 cheap Wolf to 68gr OTM, all ammo cycled perfectly. I haven’t ran into any issues with this GB. That said, I did run into an issue on my 308’s Sentry 7.. I emailed SLR support about 2030 and before 2100 I had an answer that said “I’ll have a new one in the mail first thing in the morning. He spoke the truth. The next morning by 1000 I had a new GB in the mail on the way, arrived at my doorstep 3 days later.. So from their support to the quality craftsmanship, I’d say this is a winner winner chicken dinner. I believe you can buy with total confidence. MSR as always is AMAZING.

Super easy installation, even for my first build. Clicks are extremely simple and easy to adjust. Jammed a couple times at 5 clicks, turned it once to 6 and it runs flawless so far. Slr recommends 6-7. I definitely recommend the slr dimpling jig also if needed.

Everyone already knows SLR offers great products! This was my first purchase at MSR ARMS however, the customer service and shipping was prompt and top notch. I’ll definitely be back.

I finally had a chance to shoot my rifle. And the gas block was one of the parts I was pretty excited to test on my new build. I was able to dial it Within 3 shots. I did started on position 5 and end up on position 8. It was good to see that the gas block responded to each and every adjustment. That means that the adjustability is not just a gimmick it actually does reduces or increases the gas pressure. Overall i am very happy and please with it.

SLR gas blocks are great and the adjustable one has a nice “click” for each adjustment made.
